Carrefour Hypermarket Opens at the World’s First Nature Inspired Cityland Mall

The 109,000 sq. ft store opens at Cityland Mall, located close to Global Village, off the 311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Highway

Several other retail brands will open over the coming months

Dubai, UAE (12 May 2019): A brand new 109,000 Sq. ft Carrefour Hypermarket, developed as part of major retail development, Cityland Mall, off the 311 Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed highway, has opened its doors. The 1.2 million sq. ft GLA Cityland Mall is adjacent to Global Village, and Carrefour, being developed as part of the ambitious project, will cater to the residential communities of Arabian Ranches, Majan, Al Barari. Layan, The Villa and Falcon City, all of which are located within a ten-minute drive-time.

Carrefour, operating under Majid Al Futtaim, will offer customers a wide variety of their signature items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, and high-quality non-food products, in addition to a Healthy Kitchen aisle, Food2Go, and Cuisines of the World at unprecedented prices.

Cityland is the World’s first nature-inspired mall and when complete will offer an unrivalled shopping and leisure experience. The mall has already been the recipient of a global award for innovation by Global RLI Awards, underpinning the developer’s efforts to introduce a distinguished project in the real estate and retail landscape. In addition to its extensive retail and food and beverage offering, it will comprise a 200,000 sq. ft. botanical garden – “Central Park”, a mini water park, an amphitheater with 3,000 seating capacity, an ancient tree garden, Koi pond and mini version of Dubai Miracle Garden, as well as a family entertainment area complete with cinema complex.
